CHELSEA -- Deborah Jean Harrington-Libby, 53, of Keith Street in Chelsea, died unexpectedly with her brother and family at her side on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010. Deborah was born July 7, 1957 in Gardiner, daughter of Shirley A and Byron E. Harrington.From an early age Deborah was passionate about the importance of family. It was her strong faith in Jesus that gave her strength through difficult times in her life. You could always count on Deborah to decorate her home for every holiday especially Halloween. She was an avid horror movie watcher. You could guarantee a fright with Deborah's movie collection.Deborah also loved lawn sales, crafts and cooking. She enjoyed the coast of Maine as well, particularly the waters at New Harbor after her beloved Aunt Pauline. Deborah loved to laugh; she could find humor in any situation. She believed that laughter was healing to one's soul. Deborah was predeceased by her mother, Shirley Ann Harrington, and her paternal and maternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Edward Libby of Florida; her two sons, Michael Harrington of Bangor and Jeffery Kyllonen and his wife, Carrie; her two grandsons, Jeffery Jr. and Dillon Kyllonen of Randolph; her father, Byron Harrington of Augusta; her sister, Mary Pike of Bowdoin; her brother, Jason Harrington, and his wife, Carol, and her niece Courtney and nephew Hunter Harrington of Chelsea; her niece, Charity Pike and great-nephew Matthew Poison of Auburn; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local humane society in memory of Deborah's immense affection for animals.
