Mrs. Deanna Frances Smith, age 73, of State Hwy. 325, Blairsville, GA, passed away, Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Landmark Hospital in Athens, GA following an extended illness. She was born August 6, 1940 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to the late John Kenneth and Christina Frances (Griffin) King. Mrs. Smith moved here 3 ½ years ago from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Vander Linde, Sr. in 1990 and her second husband, Gordon Smith in 2000. Mrs. Smith was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include her children, Donald and Sandy Vander Linde, Jr. of Sunrise, FL, Dwight and Michele Vander Linde of Cooper City, FL and Dennis and Lynn Vander Linde of Cumming, GA, sister, Connie Lou Dickey of Chattanooga, TN, friend and caregiver, Frank Ehrhardt of Blairsville, GA, many grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Services for Mrs. Smith will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Funeral home Chapel. Interment will follow in Lauderdale Memorial Park in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
