ANDERSON Deaconess Eva M. Anderson, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, who was residing in Columbus, Georgia with her daughter at the time of her demise; was called from labor to eternal rest Wednesday, December 31, 2003. Deaconess Anderson was retired from a career in nursing. In former years, she resided in New York, New Jersey, California and Washington State, then; returned to Jacksonville, Florida. She was united with Greater Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Rev. Kelly E. Brown, Jr., pastor. In addition to the Deaconess Ministry; she served in the Gospel Chorus; BTU and Sunday School. Deaconess Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, James Anderson, Jr. and great grandson, Andrew Caldwell. Survivors include: her son and pastor, Rev. Kelly E. Brown, Jr. and his children: Valarie Gail Vick (Harvey), Kim J. Cox (Brian), Katvina E. Brown; her daughter, Eva Lewis and her children: Dawyl Lewis, Stephanie Lewis, Alice Lewis Bonds; her daughter, Greta Anderson Carkhum and her children: Jonni Carkhum Brown, Amber Wallace; her daughter, Cynthia A. Gamble and her children: Lana M. Griffin, M. C. Gamble, III; her daughter, Antoinette Temple and her two children: Wanda Hubbard, Anthony Suffern; additional survivors, grandson, Antoine Anderson, whose father, Marcus Anderson, also preceded his mother, Deaconess Anderson in death; other survivors, son-in-law Michael Grant, grandsons, Damon Grant, Kelly Grant; whose mother, Katrina Grant, also preceded her mother, Deaconess Anderson in death; Deaconess Anderson is also survived by 25 great grandchildren; other relatives; church family and many dear friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Tuesday, January 6, at 12:00 p.m. at Greater Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 1462 Prince Street, Dr. H. T. Rhim, presiding. The cortege will assemble at 2469 Mallory Hills Road at 11:00 a.m. The late Deaconess Anderson will rest in the EASTSIDE CHAPEL of MARION GRAHAM MORTUARIES for visitation of friends, Monday evening, January 5, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and in Greater Mt.
