JOHNSON Deacon Ishmon Johnson, born in Jasper, FL November 25, 1922 passed May 11, 2008 at Mayo Hospital. He was an active member of St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church. Ishmon was a WWII Veteran. He retired from Winn Dixie in 1996 after 32 years of service in addition he worked as a guide and Hunt Master at Dee Dot Ranch and was an active member of Boys Scouts of America. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Gwendoyln Bryant Johnson; children, Ishmon A. Johnson (Tameca), Lutz, FL, LaGwyn L. Durden (Andre), Round Rock, TX; grandchildren, Kyndall and Ishmon Johnson, III, Caleb and Jadyn Durden; cousins, Willie Armstrong (Ocie), Albert Armstrong (Essie), Colorado Springs, CO; godchildren, Jimmie and Shannon Major, Tallahassee, FL and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church, 5863 Moncrief Road, Pastor Ernie L. Murray, Sr., officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Jasper, FL at 3:00 P.M. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
