David W. Jordanof N. Billerica, Raytheon retiree,active at Wilmington church, Army vet; 75 N. BILLERICA -- David W. Jordan, age 75, of N. Billerica, passed away September 29, at home surrounded by his family.Born in Portland, Maine, on April 28, 1935, David was the beloved son of the late Arthur and Myra (Dyer) Jordan. He was raised in Portland and graduated from high school there in 1953.David joined the Army in 1956 and served his country proudly. After leaving the service in 1958, David married his childhood neighbor, Peggy, and they moved to Burlington and started their family.David worked as a draftsman for Raytheon before retiring in 1995.David was an avid sports fan, rooting for the NY Football Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers before the team moved. He enjoyed candlepin bowling and golf in the front yard, using a tin can for a hole. David loved to play cards, "Up and Down the river" was his favorite.He also spent many years donating his time as the Sunday School superintendent at the Baptist Church. He also loved spending time at his place on Sebago Lake in Maine.David was a loving and caring person with a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.David was the loving husband of Marguerite "Peggy" (Whitten), beloved father of Patricia Reece of Tewksbury, David Jordan, Jr. of N. Billerica, Katherine Fontana and her husband, Joe of Weathersfield, CT, and the Late Arthur Jordan. Cherished grandfather of Alan Reece, Jr. and his wife, Christina of Dracut, Crystal and Michelle Reece, both of Tewksbury, and Christina and Joey Fontana of Weathersfield, CT. Special Uncle of Ted Whitten of Raymond, NH. Brother of the Late Arthur, Jr., and Robert Jordan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.JORDAN -- David, W. age 75, of N.
