->BANGOR - David R. Moore II, 36, it is with heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the tragic death of our son. He was born Nov. 11, 1976, in Portland. David graduated from Old Town High School, in 1995. David was a kind hearted person. Sadly at age seven through nine he battled childhood leukemia. Although he was a cancer survivor, it was not without battle wounds. David struggled with brain damage and an array of emotional diagnoses and health problems over the years. Yet, he kept moving forward. David was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He was a good friend to many in his "special world" community. He is missed and loved beyond words. His passing has left us devastated and with a tremendous loss.David is survived and greatly loved and missed by his mother and stepfather, Karen and Eliot Estabrook; sisters, Kaela Estabrook and Heather Sprague and her husband, Patrick; nephew, Caleb Sprague; his father, David Moore and his wife, Johanne; half brother, Jonathan Moore; half sister, Emilie Moore; grandmother, Bobbie Moore; aunt, uncles and cousins on both sides of his family. David was predeceased by his grandparents, Norman and Ruby Marcia and Arthur Moore, and cousin, Brittany Dahms.A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, and relatives and friends are welcome to call from noon until the time of service.
