David-P. Hudon, born in 1939, spouse of Jean Blanchard, son of David-J and Ellen, father of John, Tim, Frank and Michelle, died on July 30, 2005.
David P. Hudon, entered into eternal rest on Saturday (July 30, 2005) to join his parents Ellen (O'Connor) and David J. Hudon, after fighting a courageous battle with Carcinoid Cancer. Dave was born on July 24, 1939 in Torrington, but lived most of his life in Colllinsville. He was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church, a member of the Burlington Men's Club, Cawasa Grange, Canton Senior Citizens and Farmington Valley Men's Club. He retired from Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in 2002 after 30 years. He will be best remembered for his quiet ways, a heart of gold, his love of NASCAR racing, old and classic cars, and an avid UCONN basketball fan. He is survived by his loving wife Jean (Blanchard) Hudon; a daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Frank Ponturo; a granddaughter Natalie Elizabeth of Herndon, VA; a son Tim Hudon of Denver CO; and many loving cousins and friends. He was predeceased by an infant son John David. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, in Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Collinsville with interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family in St. Patrick's Church one hour prior and immediately following the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Carcinoid Initiative, c/o Robert Getman, 12 Jerico Drive, Old Lyme, CT 06371 or the donor's choice.
