Obituary of David-Marshall Shanks


David Marshall Shanks 1952-2013 David Shanks, of Moncton, passed away at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the age of 61 years. Born in Moncton on March 15, 1952 he was the son of H. Irene (Marshall) of Moncton and the late Edison M. Shanks. David was a very proud employee of the (METS) Moncton Employment and Training Services for 42 years. He enjoyed many different types of crafts, woodworking and needlepoint; cheering on the Toronto Maple leafs and above all time spent with his family and friends. Besides his mother Irene Shanks, he was survived by his brothers Rick Shanks (Nicole) of Moncton and Michael Shanks (Carol) of Sussex; nieces and nephews Steven, Ryan, Kailey, and Justin; great niece and nephew Chloe and Brandon. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 11:00am until time of funeral service at 12:00pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations in David's memory made to the Moncton Employment and Training Services, via 1250 St. George Blvd, Moncton, NB, E1E-3S1 would be appreciated by the family.
