ObituaryDavid M Walker, 68, passed on peacefully February 12, 2009 at his home with his family by his side. He proudly served his country as the team leader of an Army Special Forces team for 8 years. David spent most of his life in Indiana before moving to Florida in 1989. A lifetime member of Murat Temple and Scottish Rite (Indianapolis) and Masonic Lodge 57 (Noblesville IN), he enjoyed American Legion Post 274 (Ft. Myers Beach). He has been a lifetime fisherman and farmer. Survived by his devoted wife, Martha; daughters, Susan Procter (Allen), Carol Tuggle (Matt), Cheryl Walker (Kevin); sister, Karen Vaughn (Paul); 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, many nephews, nieces, friends, and neighbors who will miss him. The family thanks Dr. Bonnie Farrell of the VA Clinic for many years of care and Hope Hospice for recent continuous care and love. Memorial Service will be held at 1:30PM, Monday February 23 at Bayshore Community Chapel, N Ft. Myers. March Madness has lost a devoted follower.
