LEE, David M.H. Born: July 1, 1942 in Sibu, Sarawak, E. Malaysia, Died: July 20, 2010 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is with tremendous sorrow and a heavy heart that we write of the sudden and unexpected passing of a loving spouse, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. David was a kind and generous man, with a gentle spirit and a jovial sense of humour. Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1968, David was a teacher in Sibu, Sarawak, E. Malaysia. Shortly before immigrating to Canada, David married his lovely young bride, Helen, and moved to Calgary, Alberta to start their new life as a married couple. David and Helen had a loving home, in which they raised their three children, Winston, Joyce, and Frank. David instilled in his children a strong sense of work ethic and a sense of compassion for others. David worked extremely hard his entire life, first with the Hudson's Bay Company, and then with the Alberta Government for over twenty-five years. The only reason that David ceased working was that he fell victim to a massive stroke in November 2005. By the grace of our Heavenly Father, David was spared. God works miracles. God listened to our prayers then and granted us a miracle by not taking him. Our Heavenly Father blessed us by giving us another four years and eight months to build precious memories with David. We will always treasure this precious time with Papa David. Mourning his passing are his loving spouse, Helen; his devoted children, Winston, Joyce, and Frank; his five lively and spirited grandchildren: Brant, Yasmin, Mina, Wesley and Parker; his son-in-law, Glenn, his four attentive and doting sisters: Anne, Sandra (Joseph), Jackie and Katherine (Luther); his two brothers: Min Hong (Ai Ken) and Min Dun (Pat); cousin Freddy (Philomena) as well as numerous other relatives (cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, in-laws) and friends. Papa David: We miss you terribly and we will never, ever forget you. You will be in our hearts forever. May our Heavenly Father bless you and keep you safe in His loving arms. A private Memorial Service and Interment will be held early this week. In lieu of flowers and donations, the Lee Family requests that you make donations in David's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
