David Lionel Harris, "Brother Dave," died April 8, 2003. He was born Jan. 9, 1939. He was a loving husband, strong and caring father; he grew up poor and simple, but all who knew him were richer for having known him.The funeral will be Thursday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with burial in Providence Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday night at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Diane Harris; father, David Lee Harris; and brother, Bynum Harris.Survivors include his wife, Wanda Speegle Harris; daughter, Laura Gray and her husband, Randy; son, David John Harris; mother, Callie Harris-Shriver; brothers, Golan Harris, Robert Harris, Randy Harris; sisters, Dianne Harris, Patsy Berryman; grandchildren, Michael Tipps, Christa Gray, Sabrina Gray; special survivor, Ross "Frogman" Pittman, words could never describe their friendship. He was a proud member of Local 760 for 31 years.Colbert Memorial Chapel is directing.
