WILLIAMS, DAVID JOHN It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of David John Williams, husband of Sharon (Goodine) Williams on March 2, 2004 at his home in Fredericton. Born on June 21, 1939 he was the son of John and Annie (Fishwick) Williams of Milltown where he was raised. David was a graduate of Milltown High School and the Maritime Forest Ranger School. He enjoyed a 35-year career as a Forest Ranger and Environmental Inspector for the Province of New Brunswick where he worked and dealt with many fine people. He is survived by his wife Sharon; a son Barrie (Susan) of Fredericton; daughters Lynn (Mark) Fitzpatrick, Gondola Point; Kelly of Fredericton; a step-daughter, Natalie Lutwick of Fredericton; eight grand-children and four great grand-children; a sister, Sheila Wallace of West Palm Beach, Florida; beloved pets, MacDuff, Afton and Scottie. David enjoyed reading history, canoeing, attending the harness races, and loved to travel, especially to the Caribbean where he and Sharon visited many of the Islands and their people. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, March 4th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Dunstan's Roman Catholic Church, Brunswick Street, Fredericton, NB on Friday, March 5th, 2004 at 12:00 noon. Monsignor Brian Sheehan as Celebrant. Pallbearers will be: Bill Haley, George Lindsay, Stan Wadden, Eric Wade, David Roy, Patrick Stuhl. Interment will take place in the Hermitage Cemetery at a later date.
