David Jenkins Brown II, 69, Sarasota, died Jan. 25, 2003. He was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Braddock, Pa., and came to Sarasota 15 years ago from Sheboygan, Wis. He was a greeter in the garden department at the Wal-Mart store at Lockwood Ridge Road and University Parkway. He was a Navy veteran and retired in 1988 as president and owner of the Aluminum Refining Corp. He was a Mason and a Shriner and a member of Church of the Palms-Presbyterian. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughters Kathleen, Jodilynn and Julieann; a son, David III; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Church of the Palms-Presbyterian. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge.
