LOWELL - David J. Martin, a lifelong Lowell resident who had volunteered as an usher at his local parish, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 19, at his home. He was 52.He was born in Lowell on June 28, 1952, a son of the late Lucien H. and Laura "Dora" (Brissette) Martin.Mr. Martin was employed for more than 25 years at the D'Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell.He was a communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, where he served as an usher during weekend Masses, and was active with the men's guild and bingo.He is survived by a brother and his wife, Richard J. and Virginia Martin of Summit, N.J.; a sister and her husband, Phyllis M. Royce and Lawrence H. Royce Sr. of Derry, N.H.; an aunt, Irene Bilodeau of Lowell; five nieces and nephews, Christopher Martin, Elizabeth Martin and Juli Martin, all residing in New Jersey, Philip Royce and Lawrence Royce Jr., both in New Hampshire.
