DAVID G. ERICKSON HAMMOND, IN David G. Erickson, age 61 of Hammond, formerly of Calumet City, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (nee Beckman); daughters: Dayna (Steve) Slowiak, Dawn (Victor) Vasquez, and Renee (Demetrius Reyna) Erickson; grandchildren: Lucas and Nathan Slowiak, Ana and Ava Vasquez, Makayla Erickson, and Natori Hull. Also survived by brothers and sisters: Jim (Jan) Erickson of Crown Point, Susan Yurkanin of Joliet, IL, and Kristine Pactwa of Anaheim, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Jack and Helen (nee Novak) Erickson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road Lansing, IL. Burial Oak Glen Cemetery, Lansing. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. David was a Line Haul Supervisor for ABF Freight, Chicago Heights, IL.
