David F. Martin, age 60, of Crestview, Fla., passed away Monday, May 12, 2008, in Crestview. He was born on March 26, 1948, in Patterson, N.J., and moved to Crestview in 1998 from Dayton, Ohio. He was self-employed with Hub City Engineering in Crestview, a member of First Baptist Church Of Crestview, a veteran of the Vietnam era, where he was awarded the Purple Heart, and a Mason. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Mary P. and William F. Martin. Survivors include one daughter, Cristal Faye Martin; two brothers, Michael F. Martin and Bill Martin; and nephews, William C. Martin and Zachary R. Martin. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with the Rev. Alan Kilgore officiating. Burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
