-->Chris Bishop SPARTANBURG, SC-- David Christopher "Chris" Bishop, 37, of 331 Gramercy Blvd., Spartanburg, SC passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was the husband of Shannon Gosnell Bishop of the home. Mr. Bishop was a native of Spartanburg County, and a son of David C. Bishop and Frances Moore McDowell. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and was a Civil Engineer. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by sons, Garrison and Sullivan Bishop, both of the home; maternal grandmother, Faye Moore of Spartanburg; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Bishop of Chesnee; step mother, Sandra Bishop of Spartanburg; and step father, Franklin McDowell of Chesnee; step brothers, Craig (Shelia) and Michael (Suzanne) McDowell. He was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Lewis Moore; and paternal grandfather, Claude Bishop. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Eggers Funeral Chapel of Boiling Springs, officiated by Rev. Steven H. Rhodes and Rev. David Kite. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Soup Kitchen, Second Presbyterian Church, 438 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
