Obituary of David Anderson


Anderson David John of Victoria. Died, August 10, 2010, while visiting in Nanaimo. His wife Betty and family comforted him at the last. Born, Estevan, Saskatchewan, June 11, 1925. Educated in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Bear River, Nova Scotia and Regina, Served in RCNVR, 1944-45. At retirement he was vice President, Public Affairs for the Saskatchewan Power Corporation. Predeceased by his Mother, Ruth Frances in 1979, his father, David Nathaniel in 1994 and granddaughter, Michelle King in 1991, and his first wife, Jean; he is survived by the love of his life and treasured friend, Betty Elizabeth; three daughters Patricia Kirkland, Grimsby, Ontario; Nancy King (Paul), Regina, and Lisa Brost (Brad), Grandora, Saskatchewan; three sons David (Donnie Parker), Regina; Mark (Carmen), Strasbourg, Saskatchewan; Guy, Vernon; eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; privileged stepfather to four MacIntyres; Dale (Margaret), Nanaimo; David (Catherine Lubinsky), Vancouver; John, Calgary; Catherine (Robert Caldwell), Delta; and four stepgrandchildren. His life will be remembered at 2:00 pm, Saturday August 14, at Sons of Norway House, 1110 Hillside Ave., Victoria. No Flowers by request.
