MANCHESTER -- David A. Gilman, 65, died Oct. 1, 2010, at Franklin Regional Hospital, Franklin, after a lengthy illness.He was born Aug. 5, 1945, in Manchester, to Albert and Dorothy (Main) Gilman. He was raised and educated in Manchester and attended Central High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a local Pop Warner football coach and was an assistant football coach at Manchester Memorial High School from 1987 to 1989.He enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time in the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He also volunteered his time to help with wildlife rehabilitation.IN HIS LIFE: Mr. Gilman was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Thelma, and two brothers, Russell and Neil.His family includes his wife of 39 years, Carol (Dubois) Gilman; a daughter, Tuesday Patenaude and her husband, Todd, of Northfield, two sons, John Gilman of Manchester and Eric Gilman of Manchester; three grandchildren, Brandy Patenaude, Craig Patenaude and Briana Gilman; two sisters, Nancy Davidson of Hudson, and his twin sister, Diane Gilman of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.SERVICES: A memorial service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at New Hampshire Towers Social Hall, 55 River Road, Manchester.Donations may be made to Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, 545 Route 101, Bedford 03110.Please visit www.goodwinfh.com to sign the online guest book.
