Darrell Eugene Moore, 60, Bois D'Arc, passed away Jan. 28, 2008, in his home. He was born Nov. 20, 1947, in Springfield to Jesse Moore and Helen Louise Harrell. After serving his country in the U.S. Air Force, he returned home and married Diane Powell. During their 28 years of marriage they had four children. Darrell spent much of his life doing what he loved most, running his business, Moore Cattle Co. He loved racing stock cars, playing Texas Hold 'Em and watching the horse races; but most of all, he just loved visiting and telling stories with his family and friends. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his stepmother, Margret Moore; son Ferrell Moore and wife, Alex; son Timothy Moore and wife, Tina; daughters, Tiffany Herd and Monica Dotson; grandchildren, Derick Moore, Courtney and Garrett Herd, Caden and Carson Dotson, Dustin Moore, and Taylor and Colton Moore; great-grandchild, Jordan Kenzie Moore; brother Richard; sisters, Roaslie Perryman and Joann Starkey; his current wife, Yolanda Moore, who resides in Miami, Fla.; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., Feb. 2, at Hillside Baptist Church, with burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
