Danny Williams II, 59, Punta Gorda, died July 12, 2005. He was born June 20, 1946, in Steubenville, Ohio. He moved to Sarasota in 1993 from Dayton, Ohio, and came to Punta Gorda in 1999. He served in the Air Force for 11 years and in the Reserves for 13 years. He served during the Vietnam War. He was a retired lieutenant colonel in the Reserves and an elementary substitute school teacher in Charlotte County. Survivors include his wife, Maureen; a daughter, Juji of Lake City; a son, Paul D. III of Lake City; a brother, Bill of Gulfport, Miss.; sisters Deanne Granados of Salinas, Calif., and B.J. Newcomb of Myakka City; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, Punta Gorda Chapel.
