Mr. Daniel Anderson departed this life on August 17, 2014. A native of Brunswick, Georgia, born August 26, 1927 to Frank Anderson and Flossie Fair Anderson, Daniel realized the value of education evidenced in his receiving his education from Brunswick's Risley High School, his Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Arts from Tuskegee Institute, serving his country in the U.S. Army, the receiving his Master's degree from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois. Accordingly, Daniel's chosen profession was that of a History, Mathematics, and Industrial Arts educator in the Public Schools of Decatur, Georgia; Canton, Georgia; and Atlanta, Georgia, the school system from which he retired after 30 years of service. Testimony to the life of this humble, dignified, insightful, non-judgemental gentleman is found with those who are left to emulate his life and mourn his passing-his devoted and faithful wife, Dr. Blanche Hamilton Anderson; his siblings Virgie Anderson, Mary Anderson Veal, Abraham Anderson, Brunswick, Georgia; William Anderson, Samuel Anderson, Peter Anderson (deceased); step-sons Arnold (Pamela) Perkins, Karl (Mary) Perkins, Bruce Lewis; step-grandsons Alexander A. Perkins, Brian Lewis; granddaughter Toykaumi (Toy) Hollins; beloved nephew and nieces Felicia (Tobe) Greene, Marvin Heller, Marian A. Hollins, Marita Page; Jorrye Green, Jacinta, Justin, and Jordan and a host of relatives. Farewell to this consummate gentleman, this epitome of true manhood. A Christian Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday August 23, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 230 Arnold Street, Hapeville, GA 30354. Interment Lincoln Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:30 AM on the day of service.
