Dale Dirk Taylor "Bud" Bradenton, FL / Gary, IN Dale Dirk Taylor, age 88, formerly of Gary, IN, and a longtime resident of Bradenton, FL, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 in Florida. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Agnes (nee Singel) Taylor of Bradenton, FL; sons, Terence (Mariedna) Taylor of Stow, OH, Jeffrey Taylor of Indianapolis, IN and Scott Taylor of Morocco, IN; daughter, Kathy (Richard) Goocher of Portage, IN; grandchildren: Robin Worrell of Winterville, NC, Kelly (Nissim) Matatof of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Greg Taylor of Raleigh, NC, Gary Goocher and Austin Goocher, both of Portage, IN, Glenn Taylor of Valparaiso, IN, Erica Taylor of Stow, OH; great-grandchildren: Jamiemaria, Kersti, Steven, Shane and Colton; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Katherine Taylor and brother, Kenneth C. Taylor He was born May 20, 1916 in Gary, IN. He formerly owned Taylor Heating & Air Conditioning Co. in Gary, IN, and was a Sub-Contractor for Sears, Roebuck and Co. Dale was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for the annual fishing trips to canada with family and friends. In 1984, he retired with his wife to Florida. His favorite hobby was woodworking, giving may projects to loved ones. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2188 in Bradenton Beach, FL; and he attended Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Bradenton. Dale was a longtime member of the Ross Reformed Church in Gary, IN. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service in his honor on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Ross Reformed Church, 3900 West 41st Avenue, Gary, IN 46408. The Reverend Kenneth Westrate officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ross Reformed Memorial Fund. Everyone who knew him will miss his caring nature and warm smile.
