JOHNSON, DOROTHY McCOLLUM, 75, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004. Mrs. Johnson was born in Tavares, FL and had lived in Orange Park, FL for 41 years. She was retired from the Orange Park Middle School, a member of the Clay Council of the Blind, the Garden Club, the Ridgewood Baptist Church, and was a very active member of her Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Johnson, and her parents, Pat and Lawrence McCollum. She is survived by daughters Wanda Cox Ponder (Rex) of Auburn, AL, Susan Rebecca Hubler of Brewster, MA, and Barbara Ann Johnson of Seattle, WA; son William Arthur Johnson of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren; Christen and Allen Ponder, Nicole Renee Phillips, and Mark Allen Johnson. Graveside Services for Mrs. Johnson will be held Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, 11AM, at Tavares Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 9:30AM-10:30AM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clay Council of the Blind, PO Box 571, Orange Park, FL 32067, or the Bethany House of Auburn, 1171 Gatewood Dr., Building 100, Auburn, AL 36830.
