Dorothy-May-Christenberry Johnson, daughter of Walter and Nancy, died on November 13, 2014.
JOHNSON, DOROTHY MAY CHRISTENBERRY - joined her heavenly family onNovember 13, 2014 at the age of ninety-three. Dorothy was born on June21, 1921 to Walter and Nancy (Qualls) Christenberry in Oliver Springs, Tennessee. Dorothy attended Clinton High School and worked at Dr. Halland Dr. Hedden's office in Clinton, TN, and then she worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville, TN in the Medical Records Dept. until sheretired in 1983. Dorothy lived most of her life in Clinton, Knoxville, and Oak Ridge, TN. She had recently moved in 2012 to Newburgh, IN tolive closer to her son. Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings, Stella ChristenberryMcDaniel, Myrtle Christenberry Baker and C.R. Christenberry; and her daughter Marie Edwina Paul (David). Dorothy is survived by her son, Kenny Lynn Johnson (Linda) of Newburgh,Indiana; grandchildren, Nancy Paul Miller of Knoxville, TN, Jennifer Menefee (Jim) of Oak Ridge, TN, Jeremy Johnson (Rebecca) of Lebanon, TN andLindsey Early (Joshua) of Franklin, TN; great grandchildren, Jordan Menefee, Haley Menefee, Nick Menefee, Delaney Menefee, Joshua Paul, Elijah Paul, Jet Johnson and Asa Johnson; and a great great-grandson Elijah Paul. She is also survived by two nieces, Betty Kelly (Jack) of Clinton, TN, Mary Frank Reed (Tom) of Murfreesboro, TN and one nephew, Willis Baker (Joyce) of Knoxville, TN and several great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN with her funeral service following at 2:30 P.M.
