Dorothy L. Owen Ballston LakeBeloved mother and grandmother, Dorothy L. Owen, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, February 28, 2014. Born in Toddsville, NY, on July 10, 1924, she was the daughter of Edward and Ada Horton. Dorothy married George F. Owen in 1942 and they moved to East Line Road in Ballston Lake in 1944. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a longtime member of the Round Lake United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George F. Owen, Sr., and brothers, Ray and Fred Horton. Dorothy is survived by her children, Nancy Lewis (James) of Wells, George Owen, Jr. (Carole) of Glenville, Mary Gwozdz (Matthew) of Amsterdam, Peggy Labrie (John) of Glenville, Debbie Cutler (Daryl) of Ballston Lake and Henry Owen (Lynn) of Malta; sister, Marge Moore of Hoosick Falls; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.
