Dorothy "Dolly" Chandler, a life long resident of Elmsford, who kept fighting until the end, but the battle was too hard, died on May 9, 2007. She was 83 years young. Dolly was born to the late Dorothy Sherwood and Harold Loose on January 18, 1924. She is survived by her lifelong sweetheart, Lamar E. Chandler, her children, Kevin Chandler and Laurel Treppeda and her late son, Wayne Chandler, her buddy boy, Ron Treppeda, her grandchildren, Joey, Stephen, and Sean Chandler, Jessie and Cassandra Treppeda, brother, Homer Loose and late sister, Jean Poulin. She attended Elmsford schools. She met her sweetheart, Lamar, during a WW II leave and married him on July 15, 1943. She held various jobs, first in the school system and then later on in the accounting departments of various companies. She loved to play softball, cards, crossword puzzles, reading, slots and lottery. She will be missed by all that loved her. Visitation Friday, May 11, 2007, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
