LOWELL -- Dorothy A. (Beaudry) Murphy, a resident of Lowell, died Saturday, July 16, at her home surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was the wife of Charles M. Murphy, who died in 1983.She was born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Farley) Beaudry. She was raised and educated in Nashua, and graduated from Nashua High School. She had lived most of her life in Lowell.Mrs. Murphy had been a member of the Sacred Heart Parish for 60 years, and was a eucharistic minister.She worked as a supervisor for the former New England Telephone. She later worked at the Lowell Telephone Answering Service from 1974 until 1982, and for Harvard Vanguard from 1982 until retiring in 2002.Her survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Susan M. Murphy, with whom she resided, Ann N. Murphy of Lincoln, and Mary Ellen and David Stahlman of Falls Church, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles M. and Pamela (Guimond) Murphy of Haverhill; her grandchildren, Lauren, Katie and Kelly Murphy, all of Nashua, Scott and Elizabeth Murphy of Haverhill, and John and Sarah Stahlman of Falls Church, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Nancy (Nelson) Murphy of Nashua; a brother and sister-in-law, Alfred J. and Lorraine Beaudry of Hudson, N.H.; a sister, Bertha Charron of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews.She was also the mother of Michael J. Murphy, who died in 2000, and Shawn J. Murphy, who died in 2003; and sister of the late Mary Simoneau.
