WILLIAMS, DORA MAE, 58Gainesville - Dora Mae Williams, 58, homemaker of Gainesville, Florida went to be home with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 27, 2014, after an extended illness. Dora was born in Gainesville, FL and is a 1974 graduate of Eastside High School. She was a loving mother to her children, an excellent cook, baker and she loved spending time with her granddaughters. Most of all she loved the Lord. Dora always had her door open to friends and family and she never met a stranger. Dora was preceded in death by parents Henry and Ola Mae Williams; brothers Willie Williams, Frank Sherman. Sisters Maggie Head and Corrine Kelly. She is survived by her brother Henry "Doom" Williams, daughters Candance Williams, Tambria Williams, Tamika Wilson. Sons Darius Williams, Larry Williams, Jeremy Williams, Justin Williams, JJ Thatcher. Granddaughters Dorianna and Kennedy Wilson, all of Gainesville, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 2:00pm at The Rock of Gainesville, where Pastor George Brantley will deliver the eulogy. The family appreciates donations for expenses in lieu of flowers.
