Dolores A. Jordan of New City, NY, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on March 28, 2002. She was born on March 20, 1932 in Harmony, IN, to E.O. and Marie Lister. Dolores married her husband Edmund Jordan on August 21, 1954. She graduated from Indiana State University in 1953 and was voted Who's Who Among Students and was voted an Outstanding Young Woman of America in 1965. Dolores taught music at St. Augustine's School for many years. Dolores later worked as a very successful Realtor. Dolores is survived by her loving husband Edmund of New City, daughters, Gretchen Farrell of California, Lisa Carlucci of Mahopac, NY, and two grandchildren Jon and Chris Carlucci, a sister Jean Modesitt of Indiana and a brother, James Lister of St. Louis, MO. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3-6 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home, New City with a prayer service to be held during the visitation.
