D. Bruce Lee. 65, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, passed away at home in Port Orange, Fla., on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Newton, Mass., on August 5, 1942, to the late Donald and Marie Lee. He graduated from Newton High School in 1960. He married the late Elizabeth Hoppe in 1962. They raised their family of 4 children in Framingham and Marstons Mills, Mass. He grew up loving fishing, hunting and all types of auto racing, and was an active NRA member. He met the love of his life, Joanne Shamy Celentano, on a blind date in 1991 and introduced her to his passion, NASCAR. They married in August 1992. His favorite times were spent cooking and entertaining family and friends at their home. All will miss his sparkling blue eyes, his sense of humor and his quiet strength. Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; son, Bruce Lee and wife Gayle, Mashpee, Mass.; son, Robert Lee, Daytona Beach; son, Thomas Lee, Marstons Mills; daughter, Susanna Lee, Centerville, Mass.; and stepson, Jon Celentano and wife Carrie, Navarre, Fla. He is also survived by five cherished grandchildren: Ashley and Brian Lee; Joseph, Rachel, and Mia Celentano. He is also survived by his two sisters, Judy Grant, Centerville, Mass., and Barbara Johnston, Belmont, Mass.; as well as several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will held Friday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Volusia Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange.
