Ms. Cynthia Denise Thompson, age 48, of Winder passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012. She was a 1981 graduate of Winder Barrow High School, employed by the State of GA Dept. of Juvenile Justice as a transportation officer and was employed by the Barrow Co. Detention Center for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her father, James O'Neal Overton. Survivors include: her mother, Peggy Overton of Winder; son, Jonathan Thompson of Winder; daughter and son-in-law, Jenny Marie and Greg Corradino of Pinehurst, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Renea and Dr. Thomas Britt of Easley, SC; granddaughter, Gabriella Rose Corradino; and nieces, Alaina Casey and Nikala Farmer. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 22 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, December 22 in Smith Memory Chapel with Dr. John Talley officiating.Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
