Jan. 15, 1943-Sept. 26, 2007 Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Little-Davenport Funeral Home on Friday, September 28, 2007, at 2 p.m. for Curtis Lee Smith, 64, of Gainesville. The Rev. Scott Wilson will officiate with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Little-Davenport Funeral Home. Mr. Smith died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Smith was born Jan. 15, 1943, in Hall County to the late Barnnell and Bertha Mae Miller Smith. He worked for 20 years with Howington Egg Co. and retired from Peerless WinSmith Inc. in Flowery Branch. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn Smith, Donald Smith and Charles Smith; sister, Vivian Jarrard; and a nephew, Roger Jarrard. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Janice Smith, Gainesville; son, Greg Smith, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Wendy Smith, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Wiley Gee, Gainesville; grandchildren, Kindle Gee and Hunter Smith, both of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Linda Smith, Gainesville; and numerous nieces, other relatives and friends.
