ObituaryCora Violet Williams Bennett, 86, of Punta Gorda, Florida and formerly of Cape Coral, Florida died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Bennett was born on May 22, 1920 in Dover, Delaware to Thomas and Cora Williams.Survivors include her children, Bruce (Bonnie) Bennett of Tyler, TX; Cynthia (Fred) Winfield of Cape Coral, FL; Debra Smith of Marissa, IL; Teresa (Jack) Coyne of Punta Gorda, FL; Thomas (Cindy) Bennett of Kitty Hawk, NC; her 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Bennett, her daughter, Sherree Dee Bennett, her grandson, John Bennett and a great-granddaughter, Jaci Rea Coyne.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 2 PM at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Jack Coyne in Punta Gorda.Arrangements by Kays-Ponger Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Punta Gorda Chapel, 635 Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL.
