Constance (Bauman) Wilson, 83, wife of the late David B. Wilson peacefully came to rest on March 8, 2012. Born in Bakersfield, California, she resided in Manlius, NY, at the home of her daughter Barbara Wilson and Faith Binder where she had lived for several years. She died surrounded by many who loved her. Connie and David had lived in Kingston, MA, for over 30 years where she was active in the Jones River Historical Society, Catholic Charities, Wellspring House and St. Johns Episcopal Church in Duxbury. She was also a member of the Thursday Club. She worked for several years for Jack Conway Real Estate. Once retired, they moved to Stonington, CT, where Connie was a member of the Episcopal Church Women of Calvary Church and worked tirelessly for Friends in Service Here arranging transportation for those in need. Warmly welcomed by all at the Manlius Senior Centre, she loved her days there, participating in many of the activities. She especially loved playing bridge. Her daughters are particularly thankful for the open arms extended to her early on by Arlene and John Heath and Betty McPeck. She made many other friends because of them, and they all gave her a fun, happy and cherished life in her final years. Connie was a gracious woman, beautiful inside and out. Never a harsh word, she was an example of the kind of person who shared the light of life with her warm smile and subtle wit. Everyone loved her for her kind and gentle nature. Her family wishes to extend special appreciation for her patient and loving caregiver Paul Drew who provided much happiness in Connies life. She always introduced him to others as her best friend. In addition to Barbara, she leaves daughters Laura Wilson of Abington, MA, and her husband Stephen Sirrico, Sarah Sloat of Halifax, MA, and her husband Dan, grandsons David and Sam Sirrico, and great grandson David Sirrico Jr. Also survived by sister Shirley Baird of Fort Worth Texas, her husband Bill, and their children Lisa and Eric. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy may be made to the Manlius Senior Centre, 1 Arkie Albanese Avenue, Manlius, NY, 13104.
