EXETER -- Constance A. (Colby) Smith, 77, died Feb. 10, 2009. She was a real estate broker/manager for more than 30 years in northern New England. Upon retirement, she volunteered and was a manager for many years with the Red Cross Disaster Relief of New Hampshire in places like Puerto Rico, Oklahoma, and New York City, for an extended period, immediately following 9/11. She was secretary of the New Hampshire Chapter of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. Family members include her husband, Lee Smith of Exeter; two sons, Scott Smith of Cohasset, Mass., and Todd Smith of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Valerie of Geneva, Ill.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Cynthia of Westport Island, Maine; and a niece and nephew.
