Colleen Lois McDonaldMay 18, 1962 - June 15, 2016It is with heavy hearts the family of Colleen McDonald announce her passing on June 15, 2016 at St Paul''s Hospital, Palliative Care Unit. Since the passing of Colleen''s mother, Audrey McDonald in 2007, she has been provided with a loving home and compassionate care by her sister, Laurel McDonald and her partner, Kelly McMahon. Colleen loved life. She loved unconditionally and cared very deeply for her family; as well as her friends and coworkers at the Saskatchewan Abilities Council. Colleen had a great love for animals, going to movies, food and singing; even Christmas carols in the summer. Despite the incredible challenges resulting from her illness, she was an inspiration to her family, and remained positive and courageous. She loved ''Dory'' from Finding Nemo, and like Dory, her ''just keep swimming'' attitude sustained her throughout her life challenges. The family would like to thank the staff at St Paul''s Hospital Palliative Care Unit who provided compassionate care to both Colleen and her family. A Memorial Service for family will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
