COLLIN, Colette Marie - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Creston Valley Hospital on January 7, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Born in Sudbury, ON on March 2, 1934 to Michel and Bernadette Collin, Colette attended school in Sudbury, ON and Lethbridge, AB. Colette married John Guenter on February 13, 1993 in Creston, BC and they had a very loving marriage. Colette was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Hospice, and Toastmasters. She really enjoyed making teddy bears, sewing and loved reading and doing crosswords as well as angels. Colette is predeceased by her mother Bernadette Belcourt, father Michel Collin, step mother Marthe Vachon, and brother Jean-Marc Collin. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband John Guenter, siblings Janyne Baby, Huguette (Butch) Burns, Bernie Colins and Kathy, Monique (Paul) Carroll, Andre Leduc, Pierre Collin, Anne (Wilho) Joki, her children Jean Simard, Denise (Dany) Simard, Benoit Simard, Claire (Bill) Simard, Paul Burns and Nathalie (Lyle) Elley as well as 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Thursday January 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Harry Haberstock officiating.
