Friends may call and pay their respects for Cole Lee Smith, 44, Center Street, Ormond Beach, who passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at his residence, today (Sunday) from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Dale Woodward Funeral Home, 167 Ridgewood Ave., Holly Hill. Mr. Smith was a native of Daytona Beach and a lifelong resident of the area. He was a carpenter and roofer. An avid NASCAR fan, he cheered for both Bill Elliott and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and was a Miami Dolphins' fan. Survivors include a daughter, Desiree Hejduk, Holly Hill; son, Shane Smith, Ormond Beach; his mother, Stella Mae Moore, Ormond Beach; stepfather, James Moore, Daytona Beach; two brothers, Louis Smith, Deltona and Jesse Smith, Ormond Beach; sister, Lona Kersey, Ormond Beach; and close friend, Lisa Thompson. Mr. Smith was predeceased by his father, Barney Ray Smith; brother, Barney McCoy; and two sisters, Linda Peterson and Brenda Smith.
