February 25, 2001, of Cheektowaga, NY, beloved husband of Betty (Benko); dearest father of Donald (Gail) Johnson and Edith (John) Miller; survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother of Raymond (Evelyn) Johnson and Dorothy Lampka. Prayer service at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME, 2510 Union Rd, Cheektowaga, (two blocks south of William St.), Thursday morning at 10:30. Interment in St. Matthew's Cemetery. Family present Tuesday and Wenesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mr. Johnson was an Army veteran and retiree of Buffalo Southern Railroad. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation.
