HAYNESVILLE - Clyde Norman Russell, 72, went home to be with the Lord and Savior March 3, 2011, with his loving wife, Juanita and son, Kurt, at his side at his home, due to a short battle with lung cancer. He was born Oct. 24, 1938, in LaGrange, the son of Warren P. and Regina (Bishop) Russell. Clyde had a great love for the outdoors and felt carefree and relaxed when hunting and fishing. He was a registered master guide for more than 50 years. He was better known as "Clyde the Guide." Clyde was a long time truck driver who traveled far and wide. He met and made so many wonderful friends throughout his lifetime. His trucking buddies now have an angel to watch over them when they are on the road. Clyde was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and he was rich in the love so many people had for him. To know him was to love him. Clyde is survived by his wife of 491/2 years, Juanita (Gillo) Russell of Haynesville; five daughters, Deborah L. Russell of Houlton, Kelly-Jo Russell of Bass Harbor, Teresa McNinch and her husband, Richard, of Littleton, Loralei Russell of Houlton and Suzette Lord of Houlton; and three sons, Kyle Russell and his wife, Tammy, of Presque Isle, Jarret Russell and his wife, Paula, of Hodgdon and very "special" son, Kurt A. Russell of Haynesville. Kurt always had the ability to lift daddy's spirits with his huge smile and big hugs. Clyde is also survived by one brother, Leon Russell of Lincoln; one sister, Linda Russell and her partner, David Clifford, of Enfield; 18 grandchildren, Donald, Shawna, Jennifer, Chris, Jordan, Josh, Jayde, Austin, Brandon, Jarret Jr., Angelina, Kiara, Inacents, Tennile, Jazmine, Joshua, Jeffrey and Jacob; several great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Paul Gillo and his wife, Michele, of Madison, Tenn. A private family gathering will be held at a later date on top of the hill at his favorite camp in Haynesville. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives, 205 Center St., Bangor. "Simply Said" From Kurt to his dad, Clyde Interpreted by my sister, Debby I will always remember being a young boy, holding your hand and walking along side of you. I love you daddy like a star because you are a bright, shiny twinkle in my heart. I look upon you daddy with pride and honor for the way you love my mother. I am scared as my eyes fill with tears, as I fear the unknown, but I know your love will guide me like a light. I know the heritage you leave is not one of possessions, but a treasured example of a man and a dad. I see you as a rich man because when your arms are empty, I can run into them. Simply said, "I love you daddy!" - Kurt
