Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Mr. Johnson, a retired employee with the Crockett County Highway Department, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Johnson and one son, Tony Johnson.Survivors are three sons: Ray Johnson (Alice) of Murfreesboro, TN, Sammy Johnson (Ima) of Bells, TN, Steve Johnson of Jackson, TN; three sisters: Sylvia O'Dell Maxwell, Naomi Robertson, both of Bells, TN, Willie Neil Harris of St. Petersburg, FL; four brothers: Clark Dennis Simmons (Sarah) of St. Louis, MO, Joe Simmons, David Simmons (Peggy), Eddie Simmons (Rashaunda), all of Nashville, TN; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.The family will receive friends Saturday morning at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services.Stephenson-Shaw Funeral Home, (731) 427-7411.
