Clarisse A. (Cormier) Smith died peacefully January 21, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Thomas L. Smith. She is survived by her sister, Elaine Keneklis of South Easton. Clarisse was the beloved mother of Dr. Elaine Harrington and her husband Dr. Robert Harrington of Wichita, Maryanne Nave (deceased) and her husband Charlie of Georgia, Gail Bowman and her husband Roy of West Brookfield, Diane Tarbet and her husband Douglas, and Nancy Wright from Brockton. Her life was enriched by her grandchildren, Duane, Nicholas, and Jennifer Wright, Amanda Tarbet (and Mike Juergens), Ashley Tarbet-Destefano (and husband Nick), Andrea Tarbet (and husband Kevin McManus), Michelle Desautel (and her husband Robert), Chris Nave, and Thomas Harrington. Clarisse also leaves many relatives and friends. Clarisse retired from her job as a tax clerk for the city of Brockton after twenty years. She was active in the PTA and church while raising a family. Clarisse was a loving woman and there was no end to her kindness. She was never happier than when she was with her family. Visitation will take place Friday, January 23, 2015, from 4-7 p.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will take place Saturday morning at a time to be announced. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
