Clarissa Eva Bray Carter, 87 PORTLAND -- Clarissa Eva Bray Carter, 87, of Franklin Towers died on March 5, 2009, at the Brentwood Manor in Yarmouth. She was born on March 12, 1921, on Little Deer Isle, the daughter of Abaja and Carrie Hardy Bray. Clarissa was predeceased by her eldest son, Bill Wilson. She is survived by two daughters, Norma of Portland and Brenda of Virginia Beach, Va., two sons, Michael and his wife Mary Ann of Newburg, N.Y. and Jonathan and his wife Ann Marie of Portland; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held later in the spring. Arrangements are under the guidance of Independent Death Care, 471 Deering Ave., Portland.
