LAMING, CLARA (1918-2006) - Clara Laming passed away peacefully after a short illness on September 24, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Nethy Bridge, Scotland, a daughter of the late J.D. and Gertrude (Scott) Williams, and wife of the late Earle Laming. A member of the ACW for many years, Clara was also actively involved in all aspects of the church and the community, including being a member of the Quispamsis St. John Ambulance Brigade. Clara is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Raymond) Lent of Hampton and Patricia Laming-Russell of Ottawa; two granddaughters, Andrea and Kimberlee; as well as a step-granddaughter, Sandi. She will also be missed by sister, Elizabeth O'Neill of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Jacqueline McCrae of Hampton. Beside her husband and parents, Clara was predeceased by a son-in-law, Phillip Russell. Resting at Castle "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Hampton Road (849-1702) with visitation on Monday September 25, 2006 from 12 to 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Church, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment in St. Luke's Cemetery, Gondola Point followed by a reception at the St. Augustine's Church Hall. Memorial donations in memory of Clara may be made to the St. Augustine's Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice.
