LAMING, CLARA (1918-2006) - Clara Laming passed away peacefully after a short illness on September 24, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Nethy Bridge, Scotland, a daughter of the late J.D. and Gertrude (Scott) Williams, and wife of the late Earle Laming. A member of the ACW for many years, Clara was also actively involved in all aspects of the church and the community, including being a member of the Quispamsis St. John Ambulance Brigade. Clara is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Raymond) Lent of Hampton and Patricia Laming-Russell of Ottawa; two granddaughters, Andrea and Kimberlee; as well as a step-granddaughter, Sandi. She will also be missed by sister, Elizabeth O'Neill of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Jacqueline McCrae of Hampton. Beside her husband and parents, Clara was predeceased by a son-in-law, Phillip Russell. Resting at Castle "Kings Chapel" Funeral Home, 154 Hampton Road (849-1702) with visitation on Monday September 25, 2006 from 12 to 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Church, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment in St. Luke's Cemetery, Gondola Point followed by a reception at the St. Augustine's Church Hall.
