Clara Mae Johnson, 76, of Louisville, died Monday. She was the former owner of Clara's Beauty Shop and a retired employee at the Jefferson County Youth Center. She was a member of Mt. Pilgram Missionary Baptist Church and the Eastern Star Senior Citizens Club. Survivors include her children, Leivelle James, Rhonda Bishop, Bridget Wilson (Odis), Yvonne Houston- Hayes (Edward Bommer) and Kendrick James (LaShawda); a niece, Charlene Hayes and a cousin, William "Bill" Johnson, who helped care for her. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at her church, 635 South 22nd St., with burial in Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Thursday at A.D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W. Chestnut St., and from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the church.
