ALLEN Clara E. Allen, 96, formerly of 30 Cut Spring Rd., Stratford, died Wednesday December 10, 2003 at Wolcott View Manor in Wolcott. She was the widow of Joseph Allen. Born in Bridgeport on March 31, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Axel and Alma (Nilsson) Kohlberg. She lived in the Bridgeport and Stratford Area for most of her life and was an active member of Golden Hill Methodist Church. For more than 20 years she was employed by Cutlery Corp of America and worked at other area businesses in the accounting field. Mrs. Allen is survived by a son, William Allen, formerly of Stratford, currently of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are private and at the convenience of the family. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott, is in charge of the arrangements.
