Clara Babetta Kruegel Longtime NJ Bell employee, formerly of Hackensack, 97 Clara Babetta Kruegel, 97, passed away on Friday morning, Jan. 16, 2015. Clara was born and lived in Hackensack, N.J., for most of her life before moving to Whiting 35 years ago. She worked for N.J. Bell Telephone Co. for over 30 years, as did two of her brothers, and was a lifelong member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Matilda Kruegel, and was predeceased by her three brothers, Martin Kruegel II, Walter Kruegel and Arthur Kruegel. She will be missed by her eight nieces and nephews and many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews. As per Clara's wishes, her viewing will be private for family with a graveside service at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack, N.J. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, N.J.
