RICHARD, Claire BernadetteClaire Richard, of Saskatoon formerly of St. Front, SK, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at her residence, Central Haven Special Care Home. Claire is lovingly remembered by her husband, Lucien Richard; daughter,Carmelle (Dennis) Prescesky; sons, Alain (Dorothy) Richard, Denis (Louise) Richard, Sylvien (Sue) Richard, Jérôme (Debbie) Richard; 14 grandchildren: Sean Richard, Shelly (Jim) Jordan, Shari (John) Harden, Lee Richard, Paul Richard, Leon (Anne) Prescesky, Eric (Kasey) Prescesky, Curtis Prescesky, Amie Richard, Lacie Richard, Dilan Richard, Chantelle Richard, Travis Richard, Jeremy Richard; 5 great-grandchildren: Nathan, Seth, Garrett, Jesse, Zoey; sister, Agnes Plamondon; brother, Fernand Syrenne; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her baby granddaughter, Jesse; parents Eloi and Leda Syrenne; and brothers: Leo, Louis, Aurele, Marcel, Andre, Marius, Alphonse, Jean, Gaston, Horace, Claude, August. Claire was born on December 11, 1919 to Eloi and Leda Sryenne in Fannystelle, MB and attended Fannystelle School. In 1938 Claire and Lucien moved to St. Front, SK where she was an active member of the Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's League. They moved to Saskatoon, SK in July 1973. Claire worked for the Catholic School Board. She was an active member of Sts. Martyrs Canadiens, Saskatoon and volunteered for the Friendship Inn. Vigil for Claire will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at Sts. Martyrs Canadiens Roman Catholic Church, 1007 Windsor Street, Saskatoon, SK, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Marc Syrenne. The Rite of Committal will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
