Claire Doyle Marchand, 78, of 288 Pinnacle Lake Road, wife of Leo Ernest Marchand, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Fall River, Mass., she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary Hopkins Doyle. Mrs. Marchand was a homemaker and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Charlene Jerome of Freeport, Fla.; two sons, James Marchand of Leawood, Kan., and Steve Marchand of Austin, Texas; and two grandchildren, Brian and Eric Marchand. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 111 Hampton Ave., Greenville, SC 29601. A Rosary will be held this evening, Sept. 14, 2005, at 6:30 p.m., with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at noon at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
